Resumen : La presente investigación tiene como propósito fundamental analizar el papel histórico de la antiaérea Breda M-35, en el conflicto Ecuador – Perú (1941), dentro del contexto de la segunda guerra mundial, por medio del método iconográfico para estudiarlo de una forma tangible y objetiva. Estudio que se efectuó mediante las técnicas de observación y entrevista, con los instrumentos de investigación como son la ficha de museo y la guía de entrevista respectivamente, además posee carácter explicativo mientras se va relacionando la pieza bélica con los acontecimientos históricos llegando a una comprensión objetiva de los mismo, la cual se aplicó en el Museo Militar “Casa Histórica” de la Brigada de Caballería Blindada Galápagos Nº 11 y efectivos en servicio activo y pasivo de las Fuerzas Armadas ecuatorianas; aplicado a 3 efectivos militares conocedores del presente tema, con estos antecedentes se propone analizar desde un punto histórico el papel trascendental que tuvo un instrumento bélico como es la Breda M-35, el mismo que forma parte de nuestra identidad como sociedad. Finalmente, en la investigación se estudió el arma bélica desde un punto físico descriptivo hasta la relevancia o aporte en la historia ecuatoriana. Descripción : The purpose of this research is to analyze the historical role of the anti-aircraft Breda M-35 weapon, in the Ecuador - Peru conflict (1941), within the context of the Second World War, through the iconographic method to study it in a tangible and objective way. This study was carried out through observation and interview techniques, with research instruments such as the museum file and the interview guide correspondingly, it also has an explanative character as the war piece is being related to the historical events, reaching to an objective understanding of them, which was applied in the Military Museum "Casa Histórica" de la Brigada de Caballería Blindada Nº 11 Galápagos and active and passive service soldiers of the Ecuadorian Arrned Forces; it was applied to 3 military men who are familiar with this issue, with this background it is proposed to analyze from a historical point the transcendental role that a war instrument such as the Breda M-35 weapon had, which is part of our identity as a society. Finally, in the investigation, the war weapon was studied from a descriptive physical point to the relevance or contribution in Ecuadorian history.
