Descripción : The present investigation develops an analysis on the Inflation and the Economic Growth in Ecuador, during the period 2000-2016. The work allowed to know the behavior of the two macroeconomic variables in the designated period. The main objective of the research is to analyze the impact of inflation on the Ecuador's economic growth, for which after a due analysis, empirical and theoretical evidence was established for evidencing the relationship between the two variables and, to verify this in the case of the Ecuadorian economy an econometric model of multiple linear regression was proposed, through which the hypothesis could be verified that affirms that inflation has an indirect or negative relation with economic growth, that is to say that when inflation increases the Ecuador's economic growth decreases and vice versa. The structure of the research project is divided into four chapters: referential framework, state of the art, methodological framework, and finally, conclusions and recommendations, the first chapter is composed of the introduction, the approach of the problem and the objectives. The second chapter is made up of empirical and theoretical evidences of the two macroeconomic variables. The third chapter describes the methodology of the present investigation: method, type, design, population, sample and others. And finally, in the last chapter, the conclusions reached with this research are presented and useful recommendations are established for future researches basing on the present one
