Resumen : La investigación titulada “DISEÑO DE UN MORTERO CON CEMENTO PORTLAND TIPO I y HE INCLUIDA CAL HIDRÁULICA PARA SU USO EN IMPRESORAS 3D”.
Descripción : An application of 3D printing is the direct manufacturing of buildings by means of the addition of material, due to this would streamline the construction process from the project phase, decreasing the production´s time and materials, and cost´s labor by up to 70%, This new method does not still response the expectations imposed due to the lack of technical specifications of the materials used. Considering its importance and seeking in order to contribute to the solution of the problem, this work focused on characterizing 4 printable mortar mixtures made with Portland type I and HE cement plus river sand and hydraulic lime. In order to evaluate the physical and mechanical properties of the new mortars, compression resistance tests were carried out at 7, 14, 21 and 28 days. Mortars made with type I and HE cement without addition of lime, showed a resistance of 41.11 and 63.82 MPa, respectively. While mortars with cement type I and HE plus the addition of hydraulic lime in 7%, obtained a strength of 30.49 and 57.75 MPa respectively. Therefore, the 4 mortars, when presenting high resistance, could be suitable for use in 3D printers, generating an economic and fast alternative for the construction of houses
