| Resumen : | Durante décadas, año tras año la celebración en Riobamba, de las fiestas populares religiosas, ha sido de gran relevancia, ya que estas forman parte de la cultura y tradición de la ciudadanía. Las festividades del Niño Rey de Reyes y la Semana Santa son las más celebradas. El problema de la presente investigación radica en identificar si la ciudadanía conoce su verdadero significado, y su historia. A partir de esto se plantean las siguientes preguntas problema: ¿Cuál es la perspectiva de los riobambeños sobre las fiestas populares religiosas, del Niño Rey de Reyes y de Semana Santa? El Niño Rey de Reyes en el barrio de Santa Rosa, el más celebrado y comienza con la novena tiene priostes para todos los días, luego las vísperas, y culmina con la misa de fiesta la que tiene un recorrido de la imagen por las principales calles de la ciudad con danzas y música. La Semana Santa: es una celebración católica, la cual recuerda la vida, muerte y resurrección de Jesús. Comienza el domingo de ramos y termina con el domingo de resurrección, según investigaciones este acto de fe nace en Sevilla España, y llega a Latinoamérica con las Congregaciones Religiosas. La novena diariamente celebra algunas instituciones o familias como priostes, y culmina con la misa del domingo de ramos, tenemos también la procesión del Martes Santo recorriendo por las principales calles de la ciudad con la imagen del Señor del Buen Suceso, llamado “El Patrono de la Ciudad” Las fiestas populares religiosas se celebran por tradición, sin tomaren cuenta el origen e importancia histórica |
