| Descripción : | ABSTRACT: The research aims to determine the influence of the quality of life on the expectations of migrating in the heads of household of El Tambo canton in the year 2023; for the study a qualitative and quantitative research was used that allows an analysis of the significant dimensions of the quality of life, the expectations of migrating and the sociodemographic characteristics. In addition, the hypothetical deductive method was used for collection primary source data through a survey with a sample of 342 heads of household in the 13 communities of the canton to analyze the results and explain the relationship between variables through a probabilistic econometric model. The research findings show that the best fitting model is the probit model since the ROC curve obtained an area under the curve value of 0.7861, while the logit model was 0.7837. In this sense, it is indicatted that the probability of occurrence of the event "heads of household who plan to migrate" was 98.96%, taking into consideration the children in primary school, employment, receipt of remittances and destination of remittances; these variables in the respective marginalization are statistically significant and individually play an relevant role in the occurrence of the research event.
