| Resumen : | La presente investigación se realizó en la playa Atacames del cantón Atacames, con el objetivo de analizar la afectación paisajística generada por la actividad turística, siendo una de las principales causas en la problemática ambiental, esencialmente por satisfacer las necesidades turísticas en el sector, mediante la construcción de cabañas, hoteles y cafeterías, sumado al deterioro de la calidad paisajística a causa del comercio informal que genera gran cantidad de residuos sólidos y que no se gestionan adecuadamente. Se realizó un análisis biofísico general, tanto de suelo, agua, relieve y aspectos ambientales como flora y fauna, su vez se analizó imágenes satelitales evidenciando los cambios producidos en la playa Atacames en 20 años, donde los bosques naturales intervenidos, han disminuido 393.8 hectáreas, mientras que la zona urbana incremento, 326.32 hectáreas. Para el análisis paisajístico se aplicó encuestas a turistas y residentes, donde pudieron calificar del 1 al 5 el nivel de afectación percibido, destacando en el nivel máximo la basura y los residuos como son las botellas y vasos plásticos, seguido de la deforestación. Mediante la matriz de Lázaro Lagos se evaluó los impactos ambientales, demostrando que el recurso agua es el componente más afectado negativamente, seguido del suelo y la calidad paisajística, permitiendo elaborar la propuesta para el plan de manejo ambiental con sus respectivos programas y actividades, como prevención y mitigación, manejo de desechos, educación ambiental y relaciones comunitarias, que permitan mejorar la calidad ambiental como turística. |
| Descripción : | This research was carried out on the Atacames beach in the canton of Atacames, with the aim of analysing the impact on the landscape caused by tourist activity, which is one of the main causes of environmental problems, essentially due to the satisfaction of tourist needs in the sector, through the construction of cottages, hotels and cafeterias, in addition to the deterioration of the quality of the landscape due to informal trade that generates large amounts of solid waste that is not properly managed. A general biophysical analysis was carried out, including soil, water, relief and environmental aspects such as flora and fauna. Satellite images were also analysed, showing the changes that have taken place on Atacames beach in 20 years, where the natural forests have decreased by 393.8 hectares, while the urban area has increased by 326.32 hectares. For the landscape analysis, surveys were applied to tourists and residents, where they were able to rate from 1 to 5 the perceived level of affectation, with rubbish and waste such as plastic bottles and cups standing out at the highest level, followed by deforestation. Using the Lázaro Lagos matrix, the environmental impacts were evaluated, demonstrating that the water resource is the most negatively affected component, followed by the soil and the quality of the landscape, allowing the elaboration of the proposal for the environmental management plan with its respective programmes and activities, such as prevention and mitigation, waste management, environmental education and community relations, which allow for the improvement of environmental quality as a tourist destination. |
