This investigation is structured as follows: In this research, linear trends and the coefficient of determination (R) were established to statistically validate the following variables: Percentage of homes with Garden, per capita monthly payment of m3 of drinking water and the per capita consumption of semester drinking water. In the first instance, the variation between the per capita consumption of drinking water and the different percentages of houses with gardens, within the same stratum, it demonstrates that no pattern that evidences that water consumption would be affected by water irrigation in the gardens. For this reason the percentage of Housing with Garden was analyzed for three demographic ranges already determined by Arellano (2012), large cities (30,000 to 150,000), (8,000 to 30,000) and small (0 to 8,000) inhabitants. The results confirmed that large cities (R = 0.84 and p = 0.016) per capita consumption of drinking water rises proportionally, because water is being used to irrigate gardens, but not in medium-sized cities (R = 0.52 and p = 0.11) and small (R = 0.25 and p = 0.30), so the percentage of homes with gardens has no incidence in these cities.es_ES
