| Resumen : | La presente investigación, desarrollada en la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, sede Ambato, analiza los comportamientos éticos de estudiantes universitarios y los factores éticos que influyen en su formación académica. Su objetivo fue identificar la percepción de los estudiantes sobre sus actitudes éticas y antiéticas en la convivencia universitaria. La metodología se fundamentó en el paradigma pragmático con un enfoque cuantitativo de alcance descriptivo. Para la recolección de datos se aplicó una encuesta a 175 estudiantes, seleccionados mediante un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia, pertenecientes a las carreras de Administración de Empresas, Jurisprudencia, Psicología e Ingeniería en Sistemas de las asignaturas misionales Jesucristo y la Persona de Hoy, Ética Personal y Socioambiental. Los resultados indicaron que los comportamientos que comprometieron la convivencia universitaria fueron los grupos divididos (69.90 %), influencia de los amigos (55.4 %) y líderes negativos (28.5 %). Asimismo, los comportamientos apropiados fueron el respeto (64 %) y la responsabilidad (40 %). Se marcó la necesidad de reforzar la formación de valores éticos en la comunidad universitaria. |
| Descripción : | This study, conducted at the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador, Ambato campus, analyzes the ethical behaviors of university students and the ethical factors that influence their academic development. Its objective was to identify students’ perceptions of their ethical and unethical attitudes in the university community. The methodology was based on the pragmatic paradigm with a quantitative, descriptive approach. To collect data, a survey was administered to 175 students, selected through non-probabilistic convenience sampling, enrolled in the Business Administration, Law, Psychology, and Systems Engineering programs in the mission-oriented courses Jesus Christ and the Person of Today, Personal Ethics, and Socio-Environmental Ethics. The results indicated that the behaviors that compromised campus life were divided groups (69.90%), peer influence (55.4 %), and negative leaders (28.5 %). Likewise, appropriate behaviors were respect (64 %) and responsibility (40 %). The need to reinforce the formation of ethical values within the university community was highlighted. |
